Meet Our Team
Terra Lieser, Lead Teacher
Hi! I am Terra, and I am the founder of Wild Wonders. I graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with degrees in Biochemistry and Mathematics. While I was in college, I was lucky enough to teach at a forest school in Ohio and earned my certificate as an outdoor educator through Eastern Region Association for Forest and Nature Schools. I tutored many college classes while earning my degrees and realized how important non-traditional education is for students of all ages. I spent the year after college graduation teaching outdoor education at North Cascades Institute in the state of Washington. After seeing how much that program changed the lives of my students, I started Wild Wonders with hopes of providing incredible educational adventures to students in the Winona area!
Sierra Kurth, Assistant Teacher
Hi! I'm Sierra Kurth! I have been working in early childhood education since 2018 as a lead teacher. I have a CDA and have taken other yearly safety & education courses, bi-annual CPR & First-Aid, and am soon taking more nature immersion courses--- yay! After I became a mama, I opened an in-home daycare in early 2024. I soon learned that I much prefer spending my days outdoors with like-minded people and children, and that indoor at-home childcare wasn't quite my calling. I am passionate about keeping childhood authentic, safely messy, and free to explore the world around us. When I'm not teaching, you can find me camping with my family or playing in a creek with my photography clients! I am excited to help Terra provide an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, encouraging, and gentle. I look forward to spending this year with your kiddos out in Mother Nature where we can play, explore, move, and soak up the sunshine!
Hello! My name is Grace Hubbell. I am currently a Student at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I will be graduating in May of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (I am BLS certified). When I was a Junior in college, I had the lucky opportunity to work at a summer camp in Lake Wenatchee YMCA, Washington, and it changed my life. I learned how to appreciate the world around us and just how important it is for children to be outside. When Terra told me about this school, I was extremely excited for an opportunity to work with kids and the outdoors again. Exploring the outside world, helping kids learn to be curious and grow to be confident is a huge passion of mine. I hope you will come and join us. This will be a wonderful adventure!

Michael, Tessa, Piper & Nathan. Partners
Hi! We’re Michael and Tessa Fredrickson, and our kids Piper (4) and Nathan (1). We had the incredible opportunity to buy our farm out from a family member in 2018, and we couldn’t imagine raising our family anywhere else. Michael grew up in northern Minnesota and has worked in agriculture and ministry since a young age, but his family has operated this farm since the early 1860’s, and his grandfather helped start the local organic farming movement in the 1960’s. Tessa’s background is in health sciences and bodywork therapies, but she is happily retired and raising her children at home. Both Michael and Tessa have experienced major life improvements by simply being more connected to and steadied by living in nature, Michael in his mental health, Tessa in her physical health. We are so excited to see this program flourish and take shape!
