Forest School
Giving children hands on learning experiences in nature to develop independence, creativity, comradery, self-confidence and adventure!
What is a forest school?
A forest school is an immersive education process that takes students into natural environments to learn personal, social and technical skills. These schools engage in child-led learning meaning children drive the topics that are discussed in class, and their interests are further explored. Children are often encouraged to challenge themselves physically and mentally and work with their classmates to grow. When enrolling a student in a forest school, it is important to remember that students are not learning through traditional teacher-led methods. Much of the learning is done in round about ways and comes about through self discovery. Instructors are there to guide the exploration process, not to simply give answers.
